I’ve always thought I was born to advertise. Watch the Christmas ’96 video cassette tape buried in my parents’ basement, and you’ll hear me singing the jingle to each and every toy I unwrapped that day. Not only do I know that advertising/promotion/pr/social media WORKS, but that we all fall victim to its practices. I don’t care if you turn your haughty little nose up at the muckrakers who turned Madison Avenue into a million dollar corridor, you yourself have bought something based on an advertisement.

Why do we buy? What ads work? Which don’t? I’m exploring it. From store displays, commercials, tweets, product placement; past, present and future, nothing goes untouched. I hope you take a seat and stay awhile, there is so much to explore.
